“Set life on fire”
Canossa day is celebrated on the feast on our lady of sorrows, this day we celebrate and thank all the Canossian nuns and also remember our mother foundress St. Magdalene. We celebrate Canossa day specially on the feast of our lady as she was like a mother to St. Magdalene and the Canossian sisters are our mothers and mentors. This event began with seeking God’s blessing on all our sisters thereafter with a cute little dance performance by pre-primary students, followed by a musical skit titled “Set Life On Fire”. This skit was performed by students of academy, secondary and primary section.
This skit gave us the message of how St. Magdalene’s love and care not only inspired the nuns in Italy but how her fire spread across and beyond Italy. There were several dance performed based on the states which each gave us some values of St Magdalene such as ‘Education is the formation of heart’, ‘Through efforts to success’, etc. The day came to an end with sisters participating in various games held by the teachers for them.
