Jesus Christ with his outstretched hands protects and guides us in each endeavour we undertake. Mother Mary is our source of inspiration who showers her motherly blessings and gives us mental of protection, making our school a perfect temple of knowledge.
St. Magdalene of Canossa foundress of Canossian daughters of charity is our guiding light. She has left behind her the philosophy of education which will continue to guide us in ages to come that is “Education and Formation of Heart”
We also have our heavenly patrons St. Josephine Bakhita and Mother Fernanda Riva.
Over the 45 years Canossa School had dedicated and efficient leadership.
Now we have Sr. Lily Carvalho as our Manager. She is extremely approachable and pleasant personality. Sr. Lily enriches us with her motherly benevolence.
Canossa Primary School is under the able leadership of Sr. Fatima. She is an effective administrator and efficient head mistress. She is enthusiastic and dedicated.We also have our Canossian Sisters and the Management team; they are our pillars of strength and dedication, inspiring us to march forward with enthusiasm driving towards the betterment of the school and the children.
Canossa School has a faculty of highly qualified and experienced teaching and non teaching staff. With their commitment and sincerity they guide our children towards the wholesome future as good citizens. The teachers take personal interest in the all round development of the children.
The infrastructure of the School and the facilities offered the students are conducive to the perfect development that helps the students sharpen their faculties and explore their potentials. The School building was renovated recently giving it a better look, safety and brightness.
Here is a glimpse of how we chisel our precious jewels and prepare them to face the challenges of life ahead.
A special emphasis is given on moral unrighteousness of the students.
We began our day by seeking the blessings of God. Daily assembly is conducted giving them values, thoughts and news. Value education is taken in the beginning of each day.
The school also has the facility of dance class, gymnastics and taekwondo. Where students learn to concentrate, increase their physical abilities and develop different interests.
Computer education is also an integral part of our curriculum to make children acquit with modern technology and making them to walk according to time of this developed world.
Teaching is done through Audio visual CD and power points the school has special room for the same. The school library is updated with new and informative books due to which children develop reading interest in the school.
We help the under privileged students with the fees and medical help through poor box collection. Children are encouraged to contribute for the poor and needy and thought the value of sharing.

| 16/06/14 | The school reopened on 16th June 2014 after the summer vacation. On 15th June 2014 Fr.Innocent Fernandes blessed our school invoking God’s blessings on our school, staff and students. Our newly renovated school looked grand and bright. This was indeed a memorable day in the pages of the history of Canossa Primary School Andheri. |
| 21/06/14 | Orientation was arranged for the teachers of Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary section in the school auditorium on 21th June 2014. The speaker for the orientation was Sr. Jessie John- (Provincial Councilor). The topic for the day was ‘Canossian educators’. She stressed on ‘The heart of education is the education of heart’ It was an enriching session. |
| 28/06/14 | Drawing competition was held on 28th June 2014 to bring out the drawing talents from the students of class 1st to 4th. Three best drawings were given the certificates. |
| 04/07/14 | Writing competition was conducted on 4th July 2014. The entire Primary Section students participated in the competition. Best five were selected from each class and among them three were gives prizes. This competition enhanced the writing skills of our students. |
| 19/07/14 | Elocution Competition was held on 19th July 2014 for the students. Students were very enthusiastic about this event. They prepared themselves well and made this competition a learning experience gaining different skills like stage confidence, voice modulation etc . |
| 22/07/14 | Greeting card competition was held on 22nd July 2014 for the students. This competition enhanced creative skills of the students. The cards were made for the parents to show their love and respect. |
| 26/07/14 | The Annual General Body meeting was scheduled on 26th July 2014. The meeting started with a prayer and a Bhajan. Mrs. Vilma Gomes was the compeer of the programme. Sr. Lily Carvalho, our manager gave a speech on the betterment of our school and students. Our Principal Sr. Fatima addressed the parents through a short story. Newly class representatives were elected for each division. The elected members, Manager, Principal and the teachers had a short meeting. |
| 09/08/14 | The students of STD. IVth had organized a tuck shop on the 9th of August. The dishes prepared were noodles, bhel, samosas, vadas and some dry snacks. Various games were conducted and a dance competition was also organized to showcase the talents of the students. It was an enjoyable day for the students. |
| 12/08/14 | Dance competition was held in the School auditorium on 12th August 2014. The theme for STD I to II was folk dance and Std.III and IV was patriotic dance. Various cultures and customs were depicted beautifully through the folk dances. Love for our mother India was proudly shown through the patriotic dance competition. All the students enthusiastically participated in the dance competition. |
| 15/08/14 | Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2014. A short programme was conducted. Sr. Rose D’souza hoisted the national flag. Cultural dances and patriotic songs were put up. After the flag hoisting the function was held in the school auditorium. |
| 20/08/14 | Reading Competition was held on 20th August. All the students participated. The best three readers were selected from each class. |
| 30/08/14 | to make the young minds sharp and alert Maths Quiz was organized on 30th August 2014. The competition was held between the divisions of each standard. All ‘B’ divisions won the quiz competition of all the four standards |
| 03/09/14 | to show respect and gratitude for our Teachers, teachers’ day was celebrated on 3rd September 2014. Children prayed for their teachers and performed different dances and items to make their teachers happy .we had two silver jubilarians Mrs. Ana Fernandes and Mrs. Meena Lemos. We had a short programme for them for their dedicated service to the institute. It was a very memorable day. |
| 13/09/14 | Canossa Day- The feast of Our Lady of Sorrows was celebrated on 13th September. Enactment of Seven Sorrows followed by a cultural programme was organized. Children participated actively and went home with a message of Service and love. |
| 22/09/14 | on 22nd of September spelling competition was held to promote healthy competition among the students. Three toppers from each class were awarded with the certificates. |
| 30/09/14 | the school organized skit performance the skits were based on different values students and teachers worked hard and performed wonderfully. |
| 1to 16-10-2014 | from 1st of October we had our semester exam |
| On 17th of October | the rangoli completion was organized for the parents. It was a thrilling experience to see the artists brining out their best art creatively in Rangoli. |
| On 18th of October | we had Diwali Dhamaka . It was exciting and fulfilled day. Various food items and games were organized in the school. |
| Fancy dress and Dance competition also was arranged for the children. Whole atmosphere was of fun and frolic. | |
| 07/11/14 | After the diwali vacation school reopened on 7th of November the report day was held on 15th November. |
| 14th November | Children’s day was celebrated in the school. Teachers performed dance and sang for the children. |
| 19th November | the school picnic day was another day of excitement and joy. We went to Farm Regency Gorai. 440 students came for the picnic. they enjoyed the day to the maximum. It was indeed a memorable day. |
| 15th to 22nd | this week was dedicated cleanliness various activities were arranged like cleanliness drive, activity on cleanliness, projection of short clipping and ppt on the value of cleanliness. |
